Spend a Day at the Races!
The 44th annual Marion du Pont Scott Colonial Cup International Steeplechase Race Day and Saluting Our Military celebration will be held at the Springdale Race Course in Camden, SC on November 23, 2013. Gates open at 9:00 am that day and post time is 12:15.
Some of the infield activities include:
Jack Russell Terrier races,
carousel,
mule wagon rides,
pony rides,
and an American Flag Coloring mural where adults and children can leave their thank you to our troops.
Also, there will be face painting, military equipment display, and concessions available for purchase. Be sure to come out and support our troops and have an exciting day with the family.
Camden is a rural area located northeast of Columbia, SC. Camden dates back to 1732 which make it the oldest inland city in South Carolina. Also, Camden boasts antebellum mansions, steeplechases, and other equine-related activities due to its rich historic background as a resort town for the wealthy during the early 1900’s.
