Mark your calendars for Chapin’s 39th Annual Labor Day Festival & Parade. This family-friendly event first began in 1979 and features a Downtown Farmer’s Market, live music, a big parade, and activities such as arts and crafts, food vendors, a cupcake eating contest, a classic car show, and a children’s play area. There is something for everyone of all ages and the fun runs all weekend long.
The Chapin Labor Day Festival promotes community pride and highlights what a great place Chapin is to live, work and play. More than 22,000 people will come to participate in various activities happening throughout the weekend.
Scheduled events begin on Saturday, September 1st, at 8 am with the Justin Pepper 5K and the Chapin Downtown Farmer’s Market at 8:30 by the football stadium at Chapin High School. Come on Sunday evening to enjoy a free outdoor concert with Anthony Charles and The Blues Dolphins. Finish off the weekend with the annual Labor Day Parade and Classic Car Show.
