This Father’s Day, June 19, what better way to celebrate your dad than to go sailing on Lake Murray. Come onto the Spirit of Lake Murray Father’s Day Cruise and enjoy the lake view as well as original Southern food. This includes hamburger steak, pulled pork, corn on the cob, broccoli casserole, and banana pudding. Alcohol will also be available. Boarding will begin at 5:30pm, at 3337 US-378 in Leesville, SC. Join many other women on a Ladies’ Day on the Lake and learn many techniques concerning boating. This includes piloting the boat, docking, and unloading a boat from a trailer. Don’t worry if it takes you a while to figure everything out! The instructors are from DNR and Power Sports and are happy to help you with whatever you need. This is an all day class, occurring from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm on June 20. The class is thirty-five dollars and will not only include lessons on boating, but also lunch. You don’t have to live on the lake or even be good at wakeboarder to come and get lessons from some of the pros. On Friday, June 16 – Saturday, June 17, receive wakeboarding lessons from pros Steel Lafferty and Shuan Murray. These lessons are for all ages and skill levels, so whether you’re a young dreamer or an experienced senior, come and learn from these amazing people! If you’re not interested in wakeboarding, you can still get in on the action! On Friday and Saturday, from 9:00 am-6pm there is a water boat show as well as a pro wakeboard demo on Saturday at 2:00pm.
