Don’t feel like cooking on Thanksgiving? The turkey burned so you don’t know what to do? Well, lucky for you, several delicious restaurants are open on Thanksgiving Day. This includes Lizard’s Thicket, Cracker Barrel, Quaker Steak & Lube, Rioz Brazilian Steak House, Yesterday’s Restaurant and Tavern, Flying Saucer Draught Emporium, California Dreaming, Old Mill Brewpub, Columbo’s Italian Restaurant, and Cowboy Brazilian Steakhouse. Already looking forward to the Christmas holiday? Check out the following events already occurring this week!:


Spend time with the family as you head on over to the State Farmer’s Market. This Country Christmas Celebration is the perfect time to go ahead and pick out the best Christmas tree for your home. There will also be a showcase of several antique tractors and a tractor parade. Kids will get to make holiday-themed crafts and even talk to Santa! Enjoy food from vendors as well. Want to eat a meal with THE Santa Clause? Join him for breakfast on the first of December from 9am – 12pm, where one can not only eat breakfast with Santa, but take a picture with him too! There will be plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained as well as a show sponsored by the Columbia Marionette Theatre. If you’re not a breakfast person, don’t worry! Santa will also be joining us on Wednesday, December 5 from 10am – 12pm for lunch. At this particular event, one will be able to participate in arts and crafts, face painting, storytelling, and a unique shopping experience in Santa’s very own workshop. Want to show the community the creativity you have? Come to the Holiday Food & Craft Swap on December 1 from 10am – 12pm. At this event, one can share the best of their homemade or homegrown food or craft in exchange for someone else’s! This is a great way to meet new people, diversify your kitchen or home, and try all sorts of delectable foods. Can’t decide on one thing? Make a variety of your favorite dishes or crafts to share.
