Holidays with Historic Columbia
Celebrate the season with Historic Columbia and enjoy some special events with holiday decorations, traditions of the past, and even visits with Santa! The Robert Mills House and Hampton-Preston Mansion are opening their doors with some great holiday activities. Limited space is available and advanced purchase tickets are recommended.
Holiday House Tours are being held from November 16th through December 30th. Guests can see holiday decorations and experience traditions of the past. Tour guides will provide stories of past holidays at the homes and share what is was like decorating and entertaining during the 19th and early 20th centuries.
Visit the candlelit halls of the two homes Friday, December 14th at Candlelight Tours & Carriage Rides. Visitors can enjoy live music and children’s activities as well as tour the homes. Before or after the tour, take a carriage ride through the historic district.
Breakfast with Santa is Saturday, December 15th. Enjoy breakfast at the Robert Mills House , view the decorated halls, see a Victorian Christmas tree, make holiday crafts, and yes, take a picture with Santa!
