    Lexington SC June Events!

What better way is there to spend a Friday night than with friends, family, food, and a movie in the park. Lexington County Recreation and Aging Commission as well as the Town of Lexington, SC are to thank for this great experience. One of the most popular animated movies, “Moana”, is being featured for no charge on June 2nd at 8:30 pm. So bring your favorite snacks, a towel or even a beach chair to view this movie on a giant blow-up screen at the Gibson Road Soccer Complex. Roy’s Grille will also be providing food for purchase. If you can’t make this movie, don’t worry! Movies in the Park are occurring throughout the rest of June and July. For more information, click here.

Just because the school year ends doesn’t mean the reading has to stop! The South Carolina State Library encourages everyone to read over the long break and kicks the summer off with the seventh annual StoryfestSC. Both females are best selling authors as well as illustrators. In addition to the literary activities, there will be face painting, crafts, and a visit from USC’s Cocky and Clemson’s Tiger. This gathering will take place on Saturday, June 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the South Carolina State Museum. More details can be found here.
