    Celebrate the beginning of Spring at Lakeview Empowerment Center and learn how to make authentic French cuisine! Chocolatier of Bruges Chocolaterie will be teaching a class that will teach you how to make an eclectic range of chocolates, appetizers, and desserts. Bring your friends and even bottle of wine to this social event! During this class you’ll learn how to make Gourmet Marshmallows, Dark Chocolate Dipped Candied Orange Peel, and Chocolate Baskets with Strawberries and Fresh Cream. All the ingredients will be supplied in the class! Guests may work in pairs or individually! They also suggest that guests wear appropriate clothing that get get a little messy! The best part is that you an bring home all the mouth-watering cuisine that you make! The cost of the class is $45 and this cost includes everything! The class will take place 6:30PM- 8:30PM at 1218 Batchelor Street, West Columbia, SC.

    Garden Workshop
    Get into the spirit of Spring and join Historic Columbia on March 25th for a garden workshop! During this workshop you will have the opportunity to learn about a variety of tropical, hardy plants. Also, learn about South Carolina’s Subtropical weather and more about the climate in your hometown! This workshop will be led by Eric Healy, who is owner of Healy Horticulture in Florence, SC. This workshop will help you build your own garden at home just in time for Spring! Healy will enlighten everyone in the workshop of secrets to maintaining tropical plants in your own yard! The workshop will be from 10:00AM- 12:00PM at Siebel’s House 1601 Richland Street Columbia, SC. The cost is $15 for members and $20 for non-members.

    Cream of the Crop Beer Festival
    Celebrate the 3rd annual Cream of the Crop Beer Festival with City Roots Farm on March 25th! The event will include a wide variety of select craft breweries originated from the Carolinas! To go with the beer, local vendors, Bourbon Columbia, The Oak Table, and The Wurst Wagen, will be supplying food! There will be live music during the event and local restaurants who support the City Roots Farm. Pints will be available for purchase during the event! Ticket purchase includes tasting glass, beer guide, and all tastings. Tickets are not sold at the door and must be purchased before for $45 per person. The event will take place at 1005 Airport Boulevard, Columbia, SC from 12:00PM- 5:00PM.
