    Due to its location, Melrose Heights is in close proximity to many shopping areas and restaurants. Two areas are well-know hotspots: Five Points and Congaree Vista. College students from the University of South Caroline flock to the Five Points area, which features a large variety of specialty shopping and great restaurants. Congaree Vista features upscale art galleries and shopping as well as many eating establishments. Additionally, the neighborhood holds monthly meetings at the community center in Melrose Park. The neighborhood association strives to make sure each resident feels a part of the neighborhood and has a chance to become involved with the community. Melrose Heights is much more than a quaint neighborhood; it is a great place to call home.
